Mother Teresa was born Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu in 1910 in Skopje in the
Ottoman Empire, now in North
Macedonia. She moved to Calcutta, India, and founded the Missionaries
of Charity to help poor people die. She received the Nobel Peace
Prize in 1979.
