I already knew that
Lillie Langtry was nicknamed
"The Jersey Lily" but it was only today that I learned it was because
she was from the island of Jersey, not because she was from New Jersey.
She was a British socialite, model and stage actress. Upon marrying
she moved to London in 1876.
She also went by the names of Emilie Charlotte and Lady de Bathe
